I've updated our No Worries Website Terms of Use to better clarify the freedom that I give you as your website designer. Check it out at:
"NO WORRIES" Website Packages: Terms of Use
Here's a quick rundown of the major changes:
- Clarification of rights transferred. One of the things that I do for my clients is grant you full rights to your website design layout and final graphic files at the close of the Design & Development period. Many companies either retain certain rights to their website designs or charge an outrageous fee to grant full rights. I've reworded the Reservation of Rights and Subscription Cancellation sections so that this is clearer.
- Clarification of subscription cancellation terms. If you decide to cancel your website subscription after your contract is up, not only will I transfer your website to another host for a reasonable service fee, I will grant you a conditional use license to continue using our proprietary code on another host. Unlike many website developers, I will not lock you into a contract where you lose your website if you decide to go somewhere else. Of course, I would much rather keep your business, but I would rather you choose to retain my services.
If you ever have any questions about my Terms of Use, just let me know!
