My incredibly resourceful and beautiful wife Lindsay has accepted a fantastic first grade teaching position at Yaquina View Elementary school in the unfairly beautiful town of Newport, Oregon. We are, at the risk of understating it, deliriously happy.
Newport is the place where Lindsay and I went for our honeymoon. We’ve been back multiple times because we just can’t shake the sand off our toes. It just wants on there and you can’t keep it off.
Our goal is to settle in and get comfortable and not move again. No not ever. Not if we can help it. Of course, that’s up to God, but if we have any say in things, we’ll have sand in our sneakers for a long, long time.
Darrington has been a lovely place to live. We have made incredible friends here and we are very grateful to this little town for many things. The sheer beauty of the mountains and the rivers and the temperate rainforest and the wildlife. The bluegrass festival. The little burger joint with the amazing chicken burgers and shakes. Friendly people.
But, as they say, once more into the beach. We charge forward knowing that God is leading us and that if He is for us, who can be against us? I’m excited about teaching some new music students and am going to be focusing on releasing new art that I have been working on, finishing my books, and and spending quality time with friends and family that wait for us there.
I hope you’ll come along with us for the adventure. I’m still just a phone call or email away.
