I WALK THE RIVER ROAD UPON A PATH PAVED WITH RAZORS
UPON A PATH PAVED WITH RAZORS, by Jason Christopher Hackwith. Digital painting. Concept story-boarded in Firefly*, rendered in Illustrator and finished in Photoshop using Grut Brushes.
I step gingerly down a path paved with razors as I walk the River road. Do I travel toward a sunrise or a sunset? I have walked so long in darkness, I cannot tell. What do you think, neighbor? Follow me on this journey I'm on to the river BEAUTIFUL. Created, I create as I walk along the road. #riverbeautiful

HOW THIS PARTICULAR BATCH OF EXTRA CRUNCHY SAUSAGE WAS MADE:
This painting along with others in this series was storyboarded using Adobe Firefly, an AI tool that uses only public domain and stock images as well as my original illustrations. This, however, is not the end but only the beginning of the process. I start by building the concept upon a line from a Bible verse, quote, my poetry, prose, or lyrics; with stylistic guiding from my original illustrations done in Illustrator. This lets me look at the concept from all angles. I then select a rough comp from Firefly to move on to painting and redraw it in Illustrator, further clarifying the concept and refining the image using Grut Brushes (I adore them) and other tools in Photoshop until it becomes exactly what I envisioned. I’m really rather pleased with the result and would love to get your feedback.
